Q. How do I get started?

Q. How much does it cost?
A. There are no upfront costs, just a low monthly fee.  
Q. How secure is my data?
A. Your data is secure at all times, it is encrypted and compressed before it is transmitted making it virtually unusable to everyone but you. For more information, take a look at our data center  page
Q. How often can I backup?
A. You can backup hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly.
Q. How much data can I backup?
A. You may backup as much data as you like. You chose the service level that fits your needs and if at any time you require more space, you can upgrade to the next service level. And the system will notify you if you are getting close to your limit. See what service plan is right for you. 
Q. Why do I need 2 passwords to access my account?
A. This is an extra security mechanism designed to better protect your data. You have an account password that will be used to backup and restore your data and a special encryption password that will be used to encrypt your files. Once your files are encrypted, no one can open them without this password.
Q. What if I lose my encryption password?
A. Unfortunately, the encryption mechanism is so strong that lost passwords cannot be recovered. This also means that your data cannot be recovered either. Make sure you keep your password in the safe place.
Q. What if I want to cancel/upgrade/downgrade your service?
A. You may cancel, upgrade, or downgrade your standard service at any time at no extra charge. Terms on managed services or services for medical professionals may vary. Please look at your contract or contact your account representative for more information.
A. Version control is a special feature provided with your ENGUARD software allowing you to back up and remember multiple versions of files so you can backup and recover files at any time. For example, if you create a document and change it every day for 5 days, ENGUARD can save 5 different copies of the document. You can then run the Restore procedure and restore a file created on a certain date or even bring the entire system back to a certain date.
Q.Where is this service available?
A. We bill for service on the 1st of every month. Generally we use only email electronic versions of the bill. You may request a printed copy of your bill, if you prefer, for a charge of $2 per bill. All payments are due on the 28th of the month.
A. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, checks, and money orders.
A. ENGUARD will never block you from backing up your data. If you have approached your selected limits you will have been sent a warning. However if you add to your scheduled backup and need more space your backup will run. Your account will be charged for extra space – see  Pricing Plans for details.
A. Local backup is much better than not backing up at all. If you are backing up locally then you understand the importance of you data and the effort it takes to make sure your backup procedures are always done and that you always have copies of your data stored at a site away from your primary business location. For many businesses the cost in time and effort as well as the cost of a vault drawer for off site storage will amount to much more than the low cost of ENGUARD secure data backup.
